For me, this gift category “parents and the in-laws” is the hardest to shop for. I am very fortunate to be close to both my in-laws and Dad. Sadly, my Mom passed away 4 years ago. She was definitely the hardest of them all to find the perfect gift for (mainly because she had the most generous heart and gave the best gifts ever!)
Parents and In-Laws almost always buy themselves what they need and want. The last several years, I feel I have not been as creative as I would like with my gift giving in this category. This year, I have taken a new spin on things; I've decided going forward my gift giving will be either by treating them to something special or elevating something they already have. Adopting that new strategy, I am SO excited to share our ideas for the Parents and In-Laws this year.
SummerSalt Cashmere Set - Instant glam! Your Mother or Mother in-law will definitely feel pampered with this gift. The fabric is so soft, she will feel like she is wrapped in a hug every time she slips this set on.
Cheese Knife Cardboard Book Set - Who doesn't love a nice charcuterie board!? These knives are anchored in the cutest book-shaped, cardboard box. The best part about this gift is it comes with instructions on which knife is suited for which cheeses. Such a straightforward and useful gift.
Le Creuset Whistling Tea Kettle - What we like-- the beautiful colors, sturdy handle, works on all stove top, and very easy to clean. What we LOVE-- it’s on sale right now at Target and Macy's!
Coravin Wine Preservation System - This wine system is awesome. Finally, you can enjoy a glass of wine without removing the cork. All you do is pour your glass, and the Coravin naturally reseals the cork, preserving the wine inside. Perfect for the nights you want just one glass of wine.
Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Ribbed Throw Blanket - Wrap yourself in the softness of Barefoot Dreams. This throw is made of an extra soft and cozy easy-care fabric that won't shrink, pill or wrinkle. A celebrity favorite, this blanket is sure to add a dash of simple elegance to your home décor.
Staub Cast Iron 12-inch Pan - My absolutely favorite splurge for cookware. Each piece is one of a kind and cooks/browns everything beautifully. This Fry Pan is Cast iron which cook evenly and steadily. Awesome tip-- Target and Macy's put these on sale several times a year! Regularly $300, on sale now for $167.
Skylight Frame - The perfect gift for your parents or in- laws. There's no better way to put a smile on mom or grandma's face than to share a special photo -- a glimpse of your kids playing, or a magical moment from your exotic vacation adventure!
Wood & Marble Beveled Cheese Board - This beautiful wood and marble board makes an elegant base for all appetizers. I love how each board is unique due to the marbling and wood. Also, we always LOVE a special monogram on a gift.
Half Baked Harvest Cookbook - By Tieghan Gerard - Olivia turned me on to Tieghan Gerard and it has really up’ed my cooking game. So many amazing recipe and easy to follow and make. I can't even count how many of her dishes we've made in the Chambers Household!
Such lovely and thoughtful gift ideas. Thank you. What a great blog!
I love this!!!
