2020 Holiday Gift Guide: For the Hostess

Being raised in a military family, etiquette and manners were very important and bringing a hostess gift was always a must. Before you decide on a good hostess gift, it’s important to remember who your hostess is. What do they like? Do they have dislikes? It’s also good to remember that these gifts shouldn’t involve a lot of fuss for the hostess. She should be able to take them and continue on with whatever she is doing and not have to tend to the gift immediately. Example, if you bring flowers alway bring them arranged in a vase.

Although this year may look different for Holiday gatherings, dinners and parties, it is still important to make any type of hostess feel seen and appreciated. Hostesses are given even extra work this year to ensure safety, adhere to guidelines and still create a fun gatherings amid such a chaotic season of life. Here to all our hostesses, whether they be for big and small events. We appreciate and love you!

  1. Made by Gabs - Our lovely third Chambers lady has her own boss babe business. Gabrielle Chambers creates personalized embroidered pieces which make for the absolute best hostess gifts. From cocktail napkins, to dish towels, to sweatshirts and masks, each piece is unique and will put a smile on any hostess' face.

  2. Prayer Beads - I personally fell in love with these beads at a home store in Fort Worth. Having bought a few myself, these beads make for a beautiful accessory for any room in the house. I also love the meaning behind them and the Christian roots they hold.

  3. Honey & Honey Pot - For our sweet as honey hostesses, this duo will be the perfect present to bring to the party. Direct from a local Hawaii maker, this honey will make any foodie BUZZ. With honey being so popular these days, this organic honey will for sure be a hit.

  4. Nice Bottle of Wine & Pack It - The most classic and timeless hostess gift will always be a nice bottle of wine. Our favorite to give and receive is Frank Family. We were fortunate enough to have the most fabulous tasting at their winery up in Calistoga only a few months ago. To add something extra to this classic present, pair it with a fun wine cooler bag to elevate the gift.

  5. Voyage et Cie Candle - Candles are always a great gift, but can toe the line of being cliché. If giving a candle as a hostess gift, you must ensure that it is a bit more special than the typical candle she would buy herself at the store. One we love is the Voyage et Cie Candles. They come in so many sizes (the tall ones are so elegant and unique) and beautiful scents.

  6. Sewing Down South Pillow - If you're a Bravo addict like we are, you probably have seen Southern Charm. Craig Conover has documented the ins and outs of his pillow business along the way and we LOVE IT. These throw pillows add the perfect pop of color to any room that may need an extra flare.

  7. Monogram Tray - We've said it before and we'll say it again-- we love a monogram piece for any gift. This tray not only comes in multiple colors and fonts, but is hand-painted and will make the hostess feel so special and appreciated.

  8. BYREDO Hand Wash & Lotion - With everyone washing their hands so much more in 2020, why not indulge your hostess with the luxury of an exquisite hand wash and lotion duo. Help your hostess not only be squeaky clean, but also smell divine.

  9. Honey + Hank Tea Towel - These tea towels are SO FUN. No matter what state your from, Honey + Hank makes a towel just for you. With the hidden state design, these towels make for a conversation piece while still being a practical item your hostess will definitely use.
