Is it embarrassing to say that it's been over 5 years since our family took real, professional photos together? Needless to say, this was much overdue. With the extra time on everyone's hands and the prolonged period of everyone at home, this year seemed like the perfect time to finally get new photos of our family all together.
Our goal with the photos was simple. We wanted them to be fun enough to represent our family well, festive enough for the holiday, and versatile enough to use for other things! We used 3 different outfit variations to accomplish this and we're SO happy with the results. We're excited to share with you not only our 2020 Chambers Family Photos, but the ins and outs on the outfits, location, setup, and photographer that made it all so great!
Outfit 1: Fun
Our first look was Gabrielle's idea. She was inspired by none other than a Tik Tok video. So 2020. A few plays and lots of laughs was enough to convince our family to go online, order the checkered coats, and full send on this look. Our blazers are from Shinesty and were a blast to wear. We each styled the blazers in our own unique way. Catharine dressed it with a black t-shirt, black jeans, and Gucci patent leather wedges. Olivia styled hers with a lace tank top, black coated jeans, and Valentino Couture Bow Platform Pumps. Gabrielle styled hers with a pencil skirt, lace camisole, and classic black Valentino pumps. We decided to give Dan a pass on the blazer and kept him in a red cashmere sweater with dark wash jeans. We even got sweet Finley in on this look. After all, he IS a Chambers.

This awesome truck was actually a find on Catharine's part. Once we decided on a look, she wanted to make it more festive and had the idea of getting a vintage truck. With a little bit of digging around, we found a friend of a friend who owned this AMAZING vintage truck. They happily lent it to us for family photos and we are SO grateful.
Outfit 2: Festive
This next look turned out beautifully. We wanted to be able to use it for the holiday season, but also have a classic, refined look. We moved from the lake to the waterfall in the gates of Sherwood Country Club. What's so special about this look is the shirt we are all wearing is the same shirt. On our trip to Nashville last month, we found this lovely shirt at Vici on a spontaneous shopping day. Once I wore it, I fell in love. My mom then borrowed it one night and she too fell in love. We knew we had to order more, one for her and one for Gabrielle. It was too amazing of a shirt. Step aside sisterhood of the traveling pants, cause this shirt is stealing the show! It looks amazing on all three of us, even though we are all so different. I love how you can dress it up or down for many occasions.

Gabby: Skirt (Elizabeth & James, no longer sold) | Shoes (Vintage Dior off Vestiaire Collective)
Outfit 3: Versatile
The last session in our holiday photoshoot, we wanted the look to be more casual and versatile so we could use these pictures throughout the year. This was easily done by keeping the tops of our last look on and adding our favorite pair of jeans!
The day presented itself in the most magical way. The setting and sky could not have been more beautiful where we choose to do the last photoshoot. A Christmas tree farm had been set up on the lawn and to the right of the Christmas tree farm were gorgeous trees that changed their leaves to autumn colors.

Last, but certainly not least, none of this could have been done without our amazing photographer. JD Laske captured our family beautifully and we could not have been happier with the experience. Major thanks to him and if anyone in the Westlake Village area needs photos of any kind, he is your guy!! See more from him HERE
